The books

Six books published, built on one idea: that God’s promises are meant to be spoken in the first person, not only read in the third. Five of them form the Living by the Word series, which is planned as seven and moves from learning the method through to living it daily. The sixth stands on its own.

The series

Living by the Word

Seven books, five of them finished. The series moves in order, but it isn’t a staircase — each one stands on its own, and most readers start wherever their need is loudest.

1

How to Anchor the Word of God In Your Subconscious Mind

The method, taught through a story. David and Elizabeth arrive at the Quiet Chapel Retreat carrying the ordinary skepticism most of us bring to a new spiritual practice, and what they learn is a plain sequence: choose the passage, sit with what it means, turn it into present tense, and say it morning and night until it stops being something you recite and starts being something you know.

Harnessing the Power of Scripture for a Transformed Life

Where the first book gives you the practice, this one lays the ground it stands on. Six foundations, each with its own affirmations: salvation and the place of grace within it, the unconditional love of God and what it does to self-worth, faith and the daily habits that build it, forgiveness of others and of yourself, grace as something you extend rather than only receive, and wisdom for the decisions Scripture doesn’t answer directly.

3

Living in the Power of God’s Word

A full year, one page at a time. Each day carries an affirmation drawn from Scripture, a short reflection, and one practical step to take that day. They build on one another rather than starting fresh every morning, so by December you’re standing on eleven months of accumulated ground.

4

A Biblical Guide to Renewing Your Mind and Walking in Freedom

Built on Romans 12:1-2, and structured around a cycle most people live inside without ever seeing it: thoughts shape emotions, emotions drive actions, actions produce outcomes, outcomes harden into beliefs, and beliefs generate the next round of thoughts. Ten chapters walk that circuit and show where it can be interrupted.

Applying Biblical Affirmations to Everyday Life

The most practical book in the series. Ten chapters spanning relationships, work, health, finances, family, community, self-reflection, testimonies and daily living, holding two hundred affirmations — a hundred passages of Scripture and a hundred first-person declarations drawn from them.

The seventh and final book in the series.

Outside the series

One book sits outside the Living by the Word series. It came out of a different need, and it reads on its own — no prior book required.

Breaking Strongholds of the Soul

A Biblical Path to Emotional Healing and Freedom

Fear, shame, anger, grief, envy, rejection, guilt. Left unhealed, these stop being passing emotions and start quietly running things — distorting identity, weakening faith, straining relationships. This book takes them one at a time: what each does beneath the surface, the lie holding it in place, and what Scripture puts in its place.

Common questions

Questions readers ask

Do I have to read the books in order?

No. Each book stands on its own, and most readers begin wherever their need is loudest rather than at book one. The series has an order because the method builds, but nothing in book three assumes you have read book two. If you want the method itself explained from scratch, start with Turn Bible Verses Into Your Own Power-Packed Affirmations!

Which book should I read first?

It depends on what you are carrying. If Scripture stays on the page for you, start with book one, which teaches the method through a story. If something has stopped being an occasional feeling and started running things — fear, shame, anger, grief — start with Breaking Strongholds of the Soul instead. If you simply need something to open every morning, 365 Days to a Transformed Life gives you a year of them.

Which Bible translation do the books use?

The Amplified Bible, and every affirmation carries its reference so you can check it against whatever translation you read. The Amplified suits this work because its bracketed expansions carry the sense of the original wording, which matters when a promise is being restated in the first person.

Are the books available in paperback as well as Kindle?

Yes. All six are available in both formats through Amazon. Readers using 365 Days to a Transformed Life as a daily devotional usually prefer the paperback, since it is meant to be opened at the same time every morning.

Can these be used in a small group or Bible study?

They can. 365 Days works well for a group reading the same day together and discussing it weekly, and Breaking Strongholds of the Soul is structured one emotion at a time, which gives a group seven natural sessions.

Is there anything I can read for free first?

Yes. There are eighty-five affirmations on this site at no cost — forty-nine for emotional strongholds and thirty-six for work, money, health and family — each with the passage it comes from. Nothing needs to be bought to use them.

How many books will there be?

The Living by the Word series is planned as seven, of which five are written. Breaking Strongholds of the Soul sits outside the series, which makes six books published in total. Join the list in the footer and you will hear when the next one is finished.
